May 28, 2019 – H. Wayne Clark files candidacy for Broward County Sheriff in 2020.

H. Wayne Clark, Jr. has confirmed that he will run for Broward County Sheriff in 2020.  Wayne, a U.S. Army Veteran and founder of HWC Legal, P.A., is a trial attorney with fifteen years of experience practicing in both state and federal courts and focusing on all aspects of construction law, trucking law, personal injury, real estate and condominium disputes.

This was an easy decision for Wayne whose sustained dedication to serving the community proves he is fully committed to protecting the core values of the office with promises to enforce the laws and work with the District Attorney’s Office, the Courts and the community. 

Wayne is a veteran and Broward County attorney with fifteen years of legal experience in our local, state and federal legal systems.  A veteran of the U.S. Army, Wayne has served our country as an Airborne Engineer and Construction Engineer. He also served two years as a Staff Attorney for The Honorable Robert Rosenberg and The Honorable Victor Tobin in the 17th Judicial Circuit.


Prior to founding HWC Legal, P.A., Wayne was a Partner at a preeminent national law firm where he ran the Fort Lauderdale Construction Division and handled construction litigation throughout the state of Florida, representing developers, general contractors, sub-contractors and design professionals for both residential and commercial properties.


A father and husband, Wayne continues to be active in community engagement and currently serves as a Board member of the Plantation Athletic League.
